Girona Airport is located south of Girona Centre near the towns of Vilobi D'Onyar and located only a few minutes from the AP-7 Motorway. Getting to the airport by car is extremely easy, but if you use the AP-7 it will cost you, as this is a toll road. You can also get to Girona Airport using the N11, and this is free, but usually has more traffic, and will take you longer at certain times of the year.

The Bus is the cheapest way of doing so, but this is not always an option for some people. If you arrive late at Girona Airport, then the Bus service may have finished. The Sarfa Bus Service is directly available in the airport, and you can easily walk from the terminal to the Bus Stop, which is located just outside.
The Bus from Girona Airport to Tossa De Mar, will also stop off in the following places.
Lloret de Mar > Blanes > Magrat > Santa Susanna > Pineda de Mar > Calella de la Costa > Tossa de Mar. As you can see, this service has a few stops, but it is the cheapest option.

The Independent Newspaper, has reports that the Volcanic Ash Cloud is moving slowly south, and airports in Northern Spain have already been closed.

Getting from Girona Airport to Lloret de Mar can cost you a fortune, but it does not have to.

Their are many ways of getting to where you want to go, Train, Taxi and most cheaply by Bus.
The Train can be a little bit of a pain, a bit of a walk from the Airport and then maybe a mile or so depending on where your staying, so this might not be the cheapest option.

Taxi's are extremely good at getting where you want to go, but they are expensive. You can get one right outside the door of the airport, but it will cost you a fortune, also depending on your location. Don't be surprised if the fare is above 50 Euros or even 100 Euros.

Buses are still the best option, cheap, and most of them drop you nearly outside the door of large Hotels or CampSites. They are also directly located outside the door of the Airport, these are always the best option, as long as this fits your lifestyle.
